I can take care of more complex medical problems in the hospital, and this allows me to maintain my clinical skills, and offer a broader range of services to my patients. Similarly the ER offers the opportunity to treat acute medical illnesses and have a direct impact on people’s lives. That being said, I know I have the specialist back up when I need it. We have a wonderful group of specialists to support us.

The CEE Foundation also has been a major support financially. There are few communities with the support of the CEE Foundation. It has been instrumental in the recruitment of new physicians and funding projects to modernize and expand the CEE hospital.

Meanwhile, Petrolia’s living standards are excellent. It is a vibrant town…clean, proud, and with friendly people. They support their medical professionals and their hospital. They understand the relationship between the local health care system and the economy and they stand up to protect those services.

Petrolia is a small town, but with a “city-like” drive toward technology and modernization. We see this across many spectrums, whether it be new equipment for the hospital, a modern professional theatre, a well-equipped community centre, or state-of-the art municipal water filtration and delivery system. All of these things contribute to the health of the community and the sense of community. It’s a great place to work and live. I can think of no other place like it.
